Frequently asked questions

How do I install the Chrome extension?

Install from the Chrome Web Store. Once installed, click the extension icon, paste your BidCrafter Server URL (https://bidcrafter.co) and your API token, then click Save & Sync Cookies.

Your API token is available on your BidCrafter dashboard under Settings.

The extension says "Not configured" — what do I do?

Open the extension popup and make sure both fields are filled:

  • Server URL — usually https://bidcrafter.co
  • API Token — copy from your BidCrafter Settings page

After saving, click Test & Show Status. If it still fails, check that you're logged into Upwork in the same browser.

Proposals aren't being submitted automatically.

A few common causes:

  • Your Upwork session expired — log back into upwork.com and click Save & Sync Cookies in the extension popup.
  • You've hit your plan's proposal limit for the month.
  • The extension needs Chrome's debugger permission for the trusted-click fallback. Make sure you accepted it during install.
  • Upwork's form changed and one of our selectors is stale. Email us with the job URL and we'll update it fast.
Why does the extension need my Upwork cookies?

So BidCrafter can make requests to Upwork on your behalf — reading your job feed, submitting proposals, tracking pipeline status. We only read cookies from upwork.com and never share them.

Full details are in our privacy policy.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Billing in your dashboard and click Manage billing — this opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel, pause, or change your plan.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email privacy@bidcrafter.co from the address tied to your account. We'll delete your data within 30 days.

I found a bug. Where do I report it?

Email support@bidcrafter.co with:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • A screenshot or screen recording if possible
  • The URL of the Upwork job (if relevant)
