Refund Policy

Effective date: May 13, 2026

BidCrafter ("we", "us", "our") provides a SaaS subscription service for Upwork freelancers. Our payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd., our merchant of record, which handles all billing, tax collection, refunds, and chargebacks on our behalf. This policy explains when and how you can request a refund.

1. Subscription billing

BidCrafter is sold as a monthly recurring subscription. You are charged in advance for each billing cycle. Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your billing page or by emailing bidcrafter@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you'll keep access until that date and won't be charged again.

2. General refund policy

Because you can cancel at any time to stop future billing, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused proposal quota. We do not pro-rate refunds when you downgrade or cancel mid-cycle.

We may issue refunds, at our discretion, in the following cases:

  • Duplicate charges — if you were billed more than once for the same subscription period.
  • Billing errors — if you were charged for a plan you didn't sign up for, or at the wrong amount.
  • Service failures — if a confirmed technical fault on our side prevented you from using BidCrafter for a substantial portion of your billing period and we were unable to resolve it.
  • Unauthorized charges — if your payment method was used without your consent and Paddle's fraud investigation confirms it.

3. Statutory rights (EU, UK, and other jurisdictions)

Consumers in the European Union, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with statutory cooling-off laws have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of their first purchase. To exercise this right, email bidcrafter@gmail.com within 14 days of your first paid subscription with your account email and order ID.

Note: by starting to use the digital service immediately after purchase, you may be deemed to have waived your right of withdrawal under EU/UK law. We will still review withdrawal requests in good faith.

4. How to request a refund

Email bidcrafter@gmail.com with:

  • The email address on your BidCrafter account
  • The Paddle order ID or transaction ID (from your receipt email)
  • A brief reason for the refund request

We aim to respond within one business day. If your request is approved, Paddle will process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional days for the funds to appear on your statement.

5. Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please contact us first — most issues can be resolved within a day or two. Chargebacks initiated without contacting us may result in your BidCrafter account being suspended pending investigation.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the current version took effect.
